Alex and Jansen {Engaged}

I’ve known Alex and Jansen for several years and I was super excited when they asked me to be the photographer for their wedding this fall! They are truly in love and so easy to photograph. For their engagement pictures, we headed down to Crystal Cove State beach. I wanted to do beach shots but also mix it up with some field/natural looking backgrounds and it proved to be the perfect location for both. I wasn’t too happy about losing my wallet just an hour earlier but that all went away as we started shooting. We slowly made our way down to the beach and got some super fun photographs. Here are a few of my favorite pictures:

Joshua and Daniela {Engaged}

Joshua and Daniela are from the Inland Empire but the decided to meet me in Laguna Beach for their engagement session. Even though the sun was out, the air was crisp and cold…especially after sunset. We didnt have a lot of time so we ran around the beach in front of the Montage hotel and got some shots down on and IN the water! Here are some photographs that I really liked:

San Clemente Engagement Photography

Jason and Candice {Engaged}

This was by far the best engagement session I’ve had to date. I met up with Jason and Candice, and also photography friend Jordan Burke, for brunch in my hometown San Clemente. Jason presented me a wild shot list ranging from shooting in a barber shop to boats in Dana Point harbor. After brunch we went to a small bar nearby and started with some fun shots inside. Candice even got behind the bar and started pouring drinks! We shot at Jason’s house after that and did some fun photos in the kitchen and then some crazy samurai sword action as well! The next stop was finding a field of flowers to shoot in. Since we were well into spring, we had to search around San Clemente but we did find a small patch to work with. We capped off the 6 hour session by going deep into a storm drain where I setup my flash behind Jason and Candice to get some awesome back-lighting that went well with the graffiti and grungy location.
